Rapid Test Kit for Pesticide Residue Detection

Rapid test kits detect the presence of insecticide, herbicide, and fungicide residues in fruits, grains, and vegetables. These are also capable of detecting pesticide residues in soil and water. The kits commecially available are for the organophosphates, organophosphates plus carbamates, organo chlorine plus pyrethroids. Inside the kit are: glass slides, dropper, vials, alcohol lamp, color chart, treated filter papers, test solutions, and instructions on how to conduct the test and interpret the results. Testing and interpretation can be done right in the field, marketplace, or at home.

 

 

 

The sensitivity of the method does not allow the detection of pesticides at ppb level so the kit can be a preliminary source of information whether our drinking water, lakes runoff and groundwater are contaminated with pesticides.
